چکیده
Ammonia electro-oxidation is an extremely significant reaction with regards to the nitrogen cycle, hydrogen economy, and wastewater remediation. The design of efficient electrocatalysts for use in ammonia (AOR) requires comprehensive understanding mechanism intermediates involved. In this study, aggregation-induced emission (AIE), a robust fluorescence sensing platform, employed sensitive qualitative detection hydrazine (N2H4), one important during AOR. Here, we successfully identified N2H4 as main intermediate AOR on model Pt/C electrocatalyst using 4-(1,2,2-triphenylvinyl)benzaldehyde (TPE-CHO), luminogen (AIEgen). We propose Pt being formed dimerization process (NH2 coupling) within framework Gerischer Mauerer mechanism. unique chemodosimeter approach demonstrated study opens novel pathway electrochemical reactions depth.

متن کاملMicrobial community dynamics and stability during an ammonia-induced shift to syntrophic acetate oxidation.
Anaerobic digesters rely on the diversity and distribution of parallel metabolic pathways mediated by complex syntrophic microbial communities to maintain robust and optimal performance. Using mesophilic swine waste digesters, we experimented with increased ammonia loading to induce a shift from aceticlastic methanogenesis to an alternative acetate-consuming pathway of syntrophic acetate oxidat...

Aggregation-induced emission (AIE) is a unique and significant photophysical phenomenon that differs greatly from the commonly acknowledged aggregation-caused emission quenching observed for many π-conjugated planar chromophores. The mechanistic decipherment of the AIE phenomenon is of high importance for the advance of new AIE systems and exploitation of their potential applications. Propeller...
متن کاملVoltammetric Scanning Electrochemical Cell Microscopy: Dynamic Imaging of Hydrazine Electro-oxidation on Platinum Electrodes.
Voltammetric scanning electrochemical cell microscopy (SECCM) incorporates cyclic voltammetry measurements in the SECCM imaging protocol, by recording electrochemical currents in a wide potential window at each pixel in a map. This provides much more information compared to traditional fixed potential imaging. Data can be represented as movies (hundreds of frames) of current (over a surface reg...

We report that QATPE, an aggregation-induced emission-active tetraphenylethene dye, can be used as a non-sequence-specific ssDNA probe for real-time monitoring of all rolling circle amplification (RCA) reactions, thus making RCA more suitable for biosensing applications.
